Jules Buxbaum

Jules Buxbaum received an MBA and PhD from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He taught classes in international finance at the University of Chicago and conducted research as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He served in a variety of roles on Wall Street applying quantitative methods to investing and risk management, including: Chief Risk Officer (Guggenheim Partners Global Trading); Director of Quantitative Research (Munich Re Asset Management, NY); Quantitative Portfolio Manager at several hedge funds (Credit Suisse, DiMaio-Ahmad Capital, Guggenheim Partners); and Head Quantitative Analyst on a derivatives desk (Royal Bank of Canada).

For 20 years, an essential figure at Point 72 Asset Management, Guggenheim Partners and Cohen and Steers, Bernie is passionate about designing and delivering software technology solutions to drive strategic decisions across the entire investment management technology landscape. Bernie has expertise in buy side technology strategy, software design and development, including target operating model definition and platform transformation initiatives. Bernie has a proven track record of delivering enterprise/cloud technology software solutions to advance lifecycle processes, including portfolio analysis/construction, order management and trade execution, pre/post-trade compliance, performance/attribution analyses, portfolio risk analysis, accounting, and cash management. Bernie’s strength is in global systems design and implementation of cost-effective solutions to drive operational excellence.
Yaacov Kopeliovich

Yaacov Kopeliovich received a PhD in Mathematics from Hebrew University, a Masters in Financial Engineering from the University of California and a PhD in Finance from EDHEC. He designed analytical systems used to invest in fixed income and equities as Senior Quantitative Analyst (Munich Re Asset Management, NY) and developed risk management systems as Director of Research (Rixtrema). He was a software developer at several technology firms, including Parametric Technology. In addition, Yaacov taught classes in mathematics (Florida State University, University of California), computer science (CUNY), and finance (University of Connecticut).
